Main Street

Tom Clark has been actively involved with the "Main Street Program" since 1981, the year that Texas was selected to participate in the National Main Street Program sponsored by the National Trust For Historic Preservation. (http://www.mainst.org) .
Specializing in historic preservation of commercial structures, Tom's knowledge of historic building fabric and components has helped Main Street cities across the country restore buildings in their central business districts. Mr. Clark believes inspection of the structure and its materials is vital to developing a restoration plan. This condition assessment helps determine what work is needed and how to prioritize the work. Photo documentation of existing conditions and problem areas helps the building owner and Main Street Director understand the scope of work needed.
